Blanchland Village

About this project

Savills plc is one of the largest real estate companies in the world, established in 1855, they have over 700 offices throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and The Middle East.

Blanchland is a picturesque conservation village which is managed by Savills and located in the North Pennines area of outstanding beauty, its unspoilt qualities make it a frequent setting for period films set in the 18th century, such as those based on the novels of Catherine Cookson.

GPS was contracted to provide a complex yet discrete Satellite based distributed TV system to feed properties throughout the entire village, replacing an old aerial based TV system which had been problematic for a number of years. The new receiving equipment includes the latest IP based Video on Demand services along with a reliable and stable Satellite reception for all FTA channels.

Client comments

GPS Installations specified and installed a satellite based television system in Blanchland village, including 72 television connections to replace a rapidly deteriorating aerial based system. Throughout the project, I developed an excellent working relationship with the project manager and I found that the GPS Installations team responded promptly to my queries and actively sought to keep the project moving from start to finish. The project was delivered on time and on budget and any amendments or additions that I requested were dealt with promptly and without complaint.

I was particularly impressed with their attention to detail, can-do attitude, and the high quality of their work.
