Client Name		The Thornhill Respite Unit
Brief Description		The Thornhill Respite Unit in Sunderland cares for children with special needs. The children are mainly autistic, or have learning difficulties, with varying degrees of severity.

Overview		To make sure the youngsters are safe and content, the staff need to be able to monitor them at all times. GPS designed and installed a sophisticated sound system that allows the staff to listen to the children and take appropriate action if any child becomes distressed or in need of help. The microphones are discreetly concealed and an automatic sequential switching system provides audio from each room in turn.
